Dear All,

The Society for International Trade and Competition Law (SITC), NUJS, is pleased to announce the 6th CCI–NUJS National Competition Law Moot Court Competition, 2026, scheduled to be held from 18 December to 20 December 2026.

The Competition aims to provide law students with a platform to engage with contemporary issues in competition law, develop their legal research and advocacy skills, and interact with leading practitioners in the field.

1. Eligibility and Team Composition

The Competition is open to bona fide undergraduate students enrolled in a regular three-year or five-year LL.B. degree programme, or its equivalent, at a recognised institution, college or university in India. Students enrolled in postgraduate or diploma programmes are not eligible.

Each team shall comprise a minimum of two and a maximum of three members. A three-member team shall designate two members as Speakers and the third as Researcher. Both members of a two-member team shall act as Speakers.

2. Registration Fees

The registration fee for the Memorial Qualifier Round is ₹5,400 per team. The top 32 qualifying teams shall be required to pay an additional ₹6,600 by 8 December 2026 for participation in the Oral Rounds. This additional fee includes accommodation and local transportation between the University and the place of accommodation during the event.

3. Timeline

  1. 8 October 2026: Release of Moot Proposition

  2. 12 October 2026: Commencement of Registrations

  3. 14 October 2026: Last Date for Submission of Clarifications

  4. 16 October 2026: Release of Clarifications

  5. 4 November 2026: Last Date for Withdrawal

  6. 6 November 2026: Deadline for Memorial Qualifier Registration and Payment

  7. 10 November 2026: Deadline for Submission of Memorials

  8. 4 December 2026: Announcement of Memorial Qualifier Results

  9. 8 December 2026: Last Date for Registration for Oral Rounds

  10. 18 December 2026: Opening Ceremony and Exchange of Memorials

  11. 19 December 2026: Preliminary and Quarter-Final Rounds

  12. 20 December 2026: Semi-Final, Final and Valedictory Ceremony

4. Awards and Recognition

The Competition offers the following awards:

  1. Winning Team: ₹50,000, an internship opportunity at Shivadass & Shivadass, and a Certificate of Merit.

  2. Runner-Up Team: ₹30,000, an internship opportunity at Axiom5 Law Chambers, and a Certificate of Merit.

  3. Best Speaker (Preliminary Rounds): ₹20,000, an internship opportunity at Trilegal, and a Certificate of Merit.

  4. Runner-Up Speaker (Preliminary Rounds): ₹10,000, an internship opportunity at Trilegal, and a Certificate of Merit.

  5. Best Memorial (Complainant): ₹20,000, a Certificate of Merit, and an internship opportunity at Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates & Solicitors.

  6. Best Memorial (Respondent): ₹20,000, a Certificate of Merit, and an internship opportunity at Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates & Solicitors.
